To: Bozeman Library Board of Trustees and Mayor Terry Cunningham We absolutely reject the proposed development for a luxury hotel and condos in thelibrary parking lot space. Do we really need another luxury HOTEL or unaffordable condos? This is an absolutely outrageous development proposal. It privatizes one of the few pieces of public lands in constant use in the heart of Bozeman, prevents possible growth and real access to our gem, the public library and all it offers to allages, social and economic levels of the community, it destroys the greenspace, over 75precious growing trees, limits access to two public parks from downtown and destroys themeander sculpture garden path and works of art which offer an educational and artistic benefitto countless people their outdoor experience in the city. These public amenities are rare--and must be preserved for the public good. These spacesare used and enjoyed by thousands of residents, visitors, guests, young and old and their dogsevery day, every month, every year regardless of the season. Please reject this sell-off of precious public property and public assets for a project that onlybenefits the few. How does this contribute to the community at all economic levels we are
trying to build and preserve in Bozeman?
