This is regarding the proposal to turn the property immediately adjacent to the
Bozeman Public Library into a commercial development of a 350,000-square foot
mixed-use condo/hotel complex, AND to allow the New York developer to
essentially take over the library’s current parking lot for their own use for at least
75 years. This proposal to “allow” the library to use half the parking spaces and to
“allow” library patrons access to “the landscaped area of the roof during business
hours as long as they are escorted and accompanied by an employee of the
library” is disgusting. It’s clear that the commercial entity could take over all the
parking if they felt they needed to at any time. That could leave the library with
no parking. Ridiculous!
Are you seriously going to allow Left Lane Development to come here from New
York and degrade access to our Public Library and its grounds? Why are you
putting a New York developer’s interests above the values that still make our
town a beautiful place to live?
Please say NO to this development proposal immediately!
Thank You,
Daniel Voulkos, 13830 Cottonwood Canyon, Bozeman, MT. 59718
