Library Board;
I am writing to express my disapproval of the proposal by a commercial developer to build a parking garage on
the library parking lot and for them to retain control of that space for 75-150 years.
I have been a taxpayer in Bozeman since 1973 and voted yes on the levy to acquire the current library
property and build the current library. I voted for that levy believing that this would become public property for the
long term and that the public stewardship would allow the city to maintain the scenic nature of most of that
location. Allowing a private company to control any of that property would be in violation of the pact made with
the voters.
