Hello decision makers,
Please wholeheartedly REJECT the proposal from Left Lane Development submitted
in their Memorandum of Understanding to redevelop the library parking lot.
As a board of trustees, you should not encumber future boards with the type of easements LeftLane is demanding in the proposal. Who knows what the library will need in 50-100 years. The library and its property is a public resource paid for by taxpayers and therefore shouldremain free of constraints placed upon it by a private, for profit enterprise.
The trees planted in the current parking lot are becoming very mature and should not be cutdown.
The asbestos remediation will require a financial burden the city (taxpayers) has alreadyaddressed and should not have to pay for again. Leave the parking lot as it is.
These guys are from New York, they know how to build an underground parking garage! Tellthem to stay within the footprint of their own property.
Hands off our public library!
Thanks,
