Please register my strong opposition to the development being proposed on library- adjacent property. The last thing that area needs is high-cost condos in a building that looks like a Howard Johnson's and has nothing to do with serving the interests or needs of Bozeman's current community. The green space on the plan will belong to the development, not us. And our lovely, communal, community supported and developed green space will be truncated and overwhelmed by a structure whose lifestyle and potential owners are out of touch with the rest of us. Obviously the developers did their market research about the kind of place BZN threatens to become. That's why they're developing where they are. This project isn't about us. We just happen to live here---and support the presence of our library, the communal green spaces surrounding it, the easy coming-and-going ambience of that area, the comfort of kids biking there from home, the library's outdoor summer programs that nurture and nourish all who come. Use your positions to stop the development of a project that doesn't serve us and whose presence will loom over and overwhelm library and community spaciousness.
