Dear Bozeman PUBLIC Library Board of Trustees,
I have grave concerns regarding the proposed Left Lane Development Parking structures
and related easements.
As a Bozeman resident and MSU employee for over 25 years, I beseech you to NOT MOVE
FORWARD WITH THIS EXTREMELY CONCERNING PROPOSAL!!!!!
This is an absurd and ludicrous idea for the city and LBOT to even consider on grounds
almost too numerous to count; it should be rejected and we must stand up to out-of-state
developers who apparently believe that even our PUBLIC SPACES are up for grabs!
My concerns include multiple factors ranging from the loss of our highly valued shared
community space, access to the library during and after construction, lack of parking for
Bozeman residents to access a resource that we have contributed to and which by definition
is ours, selling out to developers yet again but with yet greater effects on all of us who use
and love our library, absurd easement requests, and more - all with no significant benefits
to our community but plenty for the developer.
PLEASE consider the multitude of extremely negative aspects of this proposal and make a
decision with the wellbeing of our community in mind and FULLY REJECT THE LEFT LANE
DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL!!! OUR PUBLIC SPACE IS NOT FOR SALE OR LEASE!!!
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Catherine Ebelke
