Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Commissioners
We enthusiastically support John Meyer as the best candidate to be appointed to the recently
vacated Commission seat. He is eminently qualified. He is an environmental attorney whowill work with Joey Morrison and other Commissioners to take a more active role in
promoting clean energy policies. He is also interested in building out a public transportationsystem that is sorely needed. He has a clear understanding of the issues, and even has some
ideas on how to humanely and constructively deal with the problem of Bozeman’s “urbancampers.” He is a person of integrity who, during his campaign, pledged to refuse money
from developers or, by extension, anyone else who would profit from favorable revisions tothe UDC.
He has not represented the ideas of the notorious “Institute” that has been promoting its
interests in the state for over 2 ½ years. An organization that has been charitably called a“right-leaning think tank” by Montana Public Radio. In short, John Meyer will represent us,
the citizens of Bozeman, who wish to preserve what we can of our home town as we deal withthe pressing issues associated with growth.
Last but not least: please bear in mind that John Meyer received the approval of nearly five
thousand of his fellow citizens who voted for him. This fact alone should convince you toappoint him to the vacant commission seat.
Respectfully submitted,
Jack and Jane Jelinski
