Please take the time to read these two articles: https://urbanreforminstitute.org/2022/03/higher-urban-densities-associated-with-the-worst- housing-affordability/ https://thetyee.ca/Analysis/2023/02/02/When-Will-Rents-Come-Down/ These are making the case that more inventory won't reduce the price on housing. I'm not willing to risk the negative impacts of the increased mass and height allowed in thenew UDC when it won't solve our housing crisis. Please reconsider upzoning residential districts. If the intent is to allow subdivision of existing large victorian houses, write that intothe code specifically. Please put the height limits back in the code in feet, not stories. Please make better zone edge transitions mandatory. Please regulate mass through such tools as stricter FAR regulations. If it's not going to give us more affordable housing we have to limit the damage to existing neighborhoods. Alison B. Sweeney Bernadette's Handmade JewelryBozeman MT 406-404-5740alison-bernadettes.com
