HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 3002 Increasing membership of Parking Commission to up to 7 members ,-, COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3002 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AMENDING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS ON THE PARKING COMMISSION FROM FIVE TO UP TO SEVEN MEMBERS. WHEREAS, the City Commission did on the 8th day of May 1974 adopt Commission Resolution No. 1676, creating a Parking Commission; and WHEREAS, Section 7-14-4609, Montana Code Annotated, provides that "not less than five nor more than seven electors of the city as members of the commission"; and WHEREAS, the current Parking Commission has forwarded a request to the City Commission that the membership be amended to allow "up to seven" members. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana: Section 1 That membership of the Parking Commission be amended from "five members" to "up to seven members". Section 2 That the initial terms of the additional members shall be set to ensure that the staggered terms are maintained and that basically the same number of terms expire each year. Thereafter, all terms shall be for a period of four years. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a regular session thereof held on the 22nd day of August 1994.
