Read-Only Content Full Name Tonia Dyas Email tonia@tbase.biz Phone Comments Gallatin Valley has tons of wilderness and mountains where camping is perfectly acceptable. It's there for all to enjoy. However, camping in town should not be allowed. We've all seen photos of Seattle, LA and SF homeless populations that camp where ever they want. It disrupts residents, businesses and is a detraction from tourism, which is a large part of the Bozeman economy. It also becomes a haven for unsafe, illegal activity. I do not support the Urban Camping Ord as a Consent Item in the upcoming Commission meeting. As a community member, I would like to see this consent item either voted down or delayed. Ordinance 2147 is an unwelcomed, unrepresentative ordinance that will worsen an existing problem. The current parking policy, if properly enforced, is a great tool to handle urban camping until a more thorough ordinance is proposed. I ask that you and your fellow commission members vote down this ordinance. If you would like to submit additional documents (.pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .gif, .jpg, .png, .rtf, .txt) along with your comment, you may alternately address agenda@bozeman.net directly to ensure receipt of all information.
