As a member of the Bozeman community for over 24 years I find the lack of enforcement of city parking rules and
the allowances made for “urban camping” appalling. It is hurting working and already struggling citizens near the
camping areas who have seen an increase in theft and vandalism while they scrape and save to try and afford to live
here. Encouraging vagrancy and crime is bad for Bozeman and tax payers and needs to stop completely. This is not
an “affordable housing” issue as is being sold to us. These are addicts we are enabling by accommodating this
behavior. It is straining our aid services meant for actual citizens in our areas who need a temporary aid and
becoming a blight. Rape of a 14 year old child among other crimes not to mention worse to come should be a major
concern to the city commissioners and law enforcement. Instead it has become accepted and encouraged. Stop the
madness.
