* Please describe your professional and personal experiences, interest, and qualifications that make you a good fit for this board.
We live in a 1920's Fred Wilson home on Cleveland st. After purchasing this home in 2000 we lovingly and painstakingly restored the house as close as possible to its
original grandeur. I have served on several boards including the BDC editorial board, The Emerson Center for Arts & Culture and the Bozeman Film Society. I had excellent
experiences on each board, and hope to contribute similarly to the Historic Preservation Board. Thanks for your consideration!
* The City of Bozeman strongly values diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Describe any efforts you have engaged in to expand your understanding of
DEI.
For about a decade, I taught courses at MSU aimed at increasing intercultural competence. I believe culture based misunderstanding is often the cause of many preventable
disagreements. A few of the courses I taught include: "Quest for Understanding: Polarization, Poverty & Progress" as well as "Going Global: Intercultural Skills for World
Travelers" I also taught Intercultural courses on Semester at Sea (a floating university with 400-500 international students which sails on 4 month voyages.)

Is there any other information that you feel we need to know?
I value historic preservation, and despite appreciating the need for more affordable housing and need to prevent sprawl, I am concerned about how changes in our zoning
may impact the future of our historic neighborhoods.
