HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 3007 Increasing property taxes FY95-95 -.-..-.----.... - --~-- - - COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3007 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, PROVIDING THAT THE CITY WILL BUDGET AN INCREASED AMOUNT OF AD VALOREM TAX REVENUE FOR FISCAL YEAR 1994- 1995. WHEREAS, the City Commission did, on the 1 st day of August 1994, adopt Commission Resolution No. 2994, stating its intent to budget an increase in revenue from ad valorem (property) tax revenues; and WHEREAS, the City Commission did, on the 22nd day of August 1994, conduct a public hearing on its intent to budget an increased amount of ad valorem tax revenue (property taxes) in excess of the property tax revenue it received the previous fiscal year, exclusive of revenue from ad valorem taxation on properties appearing for the first time on the assessment rolls; and WHEREAS, no public comment was received in opposition to the proposed increase in revenue from ad valorem (property) taxes; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, that the City Commission of the City of Bozeman will budget a 7.7- percent increase in the amount of ad valorem tax revenue for Fiscal Year 1994-1995 in excess of the property tax revenue received, exclusive of revenue from ad valorem taxation on properties appearing for the first time on the assessment rolls, for Fiscal Year 1993-1994.
