Sits and Madams of the council,
As a parent/grandparent of a family living in Bridger Canyon, I have trusted you with their well being. I never
thought for a moment I’d find myself having to fight for the right to continue visiting my family.
For the last 20 years I have depended on renting STR properties in order to facilitate preparations for my
involvement in elementary and middle school presentations in theatre and many special art projects, for the
enrichment of my grandchildren, as well as their classmates. To this day, I am greeted by parents who remember the
special attention my Bozeman daughter and I gave their children.
With the gathering of parents for special weekends at MSU and visiting family, I don’t think there is adequate hotel
space for a coming together of all these families. Local shop owners must be frantic with the thought of this horrible
suggestion. The benefit hotels may think they’ll receive will never materialize. It’s shortsighted and a very bad plan.
I encourage you to dismiss this punitive proposal.
