Dear Members of the City Commission,
I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed ban on short-term rentals in
Bozeman. Infringing on personal property rights is unconstitutional and this ban will not fixthe affordability issue in Bozeman. As a short term rental owner, the property we own will not
be “affordable” as a long term rental and it will not be going on the market as affordableproperty for sale.
As property owners, we should have the autonomy to decide how to utilize our properties as
long as it does not cause harm to our neighbors or the community and follows the city zoning. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
