Regarding the vote to eliminate airbnb's that are second homes. Not all second homes are out of state owners. My
colleague has lived in Bozeman for over 30yrs, has a second home with ADU in the back that she uses to subsidize
her daughters education at MSU this has also allowed her to work at MSU for the past 16yrs! Wages have not
increased with the housing in this town. Hardworkers like myself and my coworker have relied on our experience
and education to better our living situation in Bozeman. We have been integral in making this town a successful
place to live and retire and shouldn't be punished for being able to make it work in this town after 30years. Out of
state homeowners that have second or third homes here are part of the problem here and in other vacation
destinations. We have lived here for most of our lives shouldn't be pushed out of Bozeman because of wealthy, out
of staters creating investment income and not contributing to the community in a whole.
