There is a shortage of affordable housing in Bozeman, but currently vacancies are on the rise. Most STRsare far from being affordable and if the City stops them from being STRs that will not be converted to affordable housing. Cracking down on STRs does little or nothing to improve theaffordable housing crisis we have in Bozeman. STRs are about 1.36% of Bozeman's housing stick. Type 3 STRs are about .31% of Bozeman'shousing stock. Please consider these percentages if you think banning or severely limiting STRs will help solve the affordable housing crisis. The City is in the middle of rezoning. Passing this ordinance while in the midst of rezoning is likely to create major confusion in the future. Any changes need to be tables until rezoning iscomplete. I am sure you are aware that the new MT Land Use Planning Act spears to require cities tograndfather existing STRs. Respectfully Leah Belair
