It’s a terrible idea. Any time you infringe upon the rights of a property “owner” you have to question the whole
validity of the ownership concept.
I haven’t seen any evidence that str are causing a lot of problems and it truly is a shame the municipality is taking
this posture. Very “un western” of them.
We come out west to get away from a heavy handed government. I’m sure it’s just a few stirring the pot so we need
to eradicate all rentals to appease the few.
Take a page from Florida’s book and tax them hard to make it worth it to the municipalities and shake out the small
players. We get charged 12% of rents monthly here in Florida! But at least we retain our “rights”.
