My name is Kristin Taylor and I own and two STVR in Bozeman, moving my family every
six months between the two houses to ensure we comply with city ordinances and licensingrequirements.
Our family has worked very hard to remodel and restore these two older homes to become
short term rentals. This is how we have earned our living for years - mowing, painting,cleaning, repairs, improvements… without the option of renting we will lose our primary
source of income and provide our disabled son with job opportunities.
If the grandfather clause does not allow properties that are legally permitted we will be forcedto sell our property at a loss since we have not yet ‘broken even’.
Please vote no on 2149. It will not address the housing crisis and it penalizes locals who are
caring for older homes (1908 built) supporting local tourism and working to make ends meet.
