Greetings,
I am writing to request your consideration to not ban short term rentals in Bozeman.
As both a frequent user of short term vacation rentals and an owner/host of one short term rental in Bozeman, I feel
that short term rentals provide a unique and desirable experience for visitors.
Short term rentals and hotels offer different experiences for travelers. It would be unfortunate to see a ban on short
term rentals thereby taking away the ability for visitors to enjoy diverse experiences.
From an owner/host perspective, I have worked hard since the age of 13 and I am now approaching retirement age. I
purchased a small condo in Bozeman which I lived in for a short time. I decided to keep the property and fulfill a
dream of mine to run a bed and breakfast. Although it isn’t technically a B & B, it is allowing me to gain valuable
experience as a host as well as the opportunity to provide enjoyable accommodations to visitors.
Please consider the ban and how it will affect visitors and residents from a broad perspective as well as the
economic benefits that visitors generate for the city of Bozeman.
Kind Regards,
Heather Cashman
