As a octogenarian, a retired educator, and business owner, property owner, and a
lover of classic literature I think of Steinbeck's characters George and Lennie in Of
Mice and Men when the dream to own a plot of land and live "off the fat of the land"
was an American Dream. It still is. I have worked hard to become land owner and in
some cases have needed to create income producing means. When did it become a
city's appointed council's right to determine who could do what with others property. These homes bring revenues to the city and people who spend their dollars keeping
small businesses in business. It is unconcsionable for me to understand why you
would even consider this action.
