I would like to see the commission begin to value the economic impact of short term rentals. Many of the folks
providing an airbnb do so to also afford to live here. Why are we making rules and laws to burden ones right to
make extra income in an already hard to live in town. Making it even harder in many ways for folks to offer short
term housing. Airbnbs traditionally fill a void for folks moving here, finding a new home, or just stuck in a spot where
a quick option may help. We need city solutions and incentives instead of rules that likely end up putting the city in
litigation. Encouraging normal rentals through tax breaks and solution based incentives. Why are we penalizing folks
that maybe need to make extra income to afford their property. Enforce the current rules. Focus on true housing
solutions, and don't ban things, incentivize other habit's!!!!
