Please vote no on 2149. I am scheduled to get married in Bozeman and several of the STRs that I have tried to book
are sharing with me that they may not be able to host because of an ordinance that is being voted on. I am getting
married a year from now and over 150 people will be traveling to Bozeman for my wedding. Most of those people
will need accommodation for families and multiple hotel rooms for them will be too costly. Had I know that this was
going to happen, I would not have decided to get married there and would have instead made other arrangements.
The condo that we normally stay at said that she would rent it to us for the price of 2 weeks (same price as STR -
approx $4200) and give us a 30day lease. She explained that if that happened then at least we would not have to
pay taxes. So it sounds like this ordinance will put people travelers out and cut back on taxes. Doesn't sound like a
win-wins. Please vote no!
