Dear City Commission,As a longtime Bozeman resident and recent first-time homebuyer, I am concernedwith the City's proposal to update the UDC. This proposal has been rushed through an approval process without adequate inputfrom a diverse and representative pool of stakeholders. The City has a lot of time toconsider revisions of this kind and like many residents of the area, I request that theCity slow down the UDC proposal and take it back to the drawing board to consider amore complete perspective of how this can impact the area and those that havecalled it home. A few of my concerns are the impacts on traffic and parking, on long-term homevalues, and the quality of neighborhoods throughout the city's core. The historic, safe, quaint, green, and walkable neighborhoods hold immense value and majorappeal for residents, tourists, and businesses. In addition to considering how this has worked for other cities, I think Bozemanshould strongly consider why others (e.g., Fort Collins) have decided against similarproposals and how they have impacted communities like Bozeman. Thanks for your consideration.
