I am writing to voice my strong opposition to the zoning change being considered by the city to allow multiple
dwellings of eight or more residential units, (likely ultimately expensive out of state investor owned and
unaffordable residences) that would destroy the character of our beloved Bozeman neighborhoods. I do not see
evidence that the concept of “ dense infill” is in any way preventing county sprawl or improving the affordable
housing crisis in Bozeman. There seems to be little consideration given to long term residents of Bozemans home
values, sense of peace and community or preservation of green space for wildlife or farming. Having been a resident
of Bozeman since 1968 with the exception of a few years away for college and work I am increasingly saddened and
frustrated by the city’s race to destroy this “ last green valley “ and the lack of voice we residents have with our
current elected officials . I see this zoning change as just another fruitless measure to fill the pockets of out of state
developers.
