Dear City Commissioners, Mayor & CDB Members,
I am writing you about my concerns with the proposed new UDC. I live on South Grand
Avenue at 722 S Grand. Our home is approximately 17 ft tall. The new proposed UDC wouldallow us to build an ADU that is 25 ft tall. Meanwhile, if our neighbor to the south sells
their home, the property could be developed to have a building that is somewhere between 38-50 ft tall that maxes out the corner lot. We have invested thousands of dollars in rooftop solar
panels. If a building to the south of our home is constructed that is 30+ ft tall, this would makeour investment in solar panels unusable, and it would greatly hinder the livability of our home
and yard by blocking the sun.
I prefer that you keep R-1 & R-2 separate from the rules for R-3.
