Hello, This email is regarding the potential zone changes the city is proposing for all of Bozeman’s residential neighborhoods. We are residents of Bozeman and living in the Bon Ton District. We oppose this zoning change allowing several units and stories being built regardless of the historical designation. Part of the charm of Bozeman is the originality of these beautiful neighborhoods such as the Bon Ton. This is a radical departure from the last 70 years of residential zoning in Bozeman. Yes, we absolutely need more affordable housing, but we believe this is not part of the solution. Tearing down homes means tearing down communities within them. Why would the city want to demolish established housing to build luxury condos that will definitely NOT be affordable to most; vacation homes and short term rentals will be prevalent along with parking and green space being limited. We ask that you take more time before making these zone changes and consider all ramifications. What is the rush? I am a born and raised resident of Montana. I am hoping it is the intention to keep the charm of the neighborhoods and protect our communities. Thank you for your consideration. Jamie and Lane Scelzi 521 S Willson Ave Bozeman
