Read-Only Content Full Name Michael Larson Email mlarson8201@gmail.com Phone (406) 579-8585 Comments The New Residential Coding Proposal is a bad idea for the following reasons: Disregard for current homeowners that have invested their time, energy, and life savings to own a home in a single family neighborhood; • Lack of open space already in Bozeman; • Safety; • Increased traffic and parking; • Obstruction of view sheds; and most importantly • Water !! Infilling every square inch of open space in Bozeman is a very bad idea. It is obvious that the main goal is to appease the millionaire investors (usually out of state) to allow an increased tax base. We pay over $7k per year for a .3 acre lot in a southeast subdivision, doubled in 10 years! How many zeros does the City of Bozeman require to run the basic infrastructure? Why should current single-family residential neighborhoods be penalized for their choices made decades ago? Also, why should we allow relentless building on precious farmland just outside of the city limits? Bozeman silt loam is the most productive soil in MT If you would like to submit additional documents (.pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .gif, .jpg, .png, .rtf, .txt) along with your comment, you may alternately address agenda@bozeman.net directly to ensure receipt of all information.
