City Commissioners:
Downtown Bozeman neighborhoods have been permanently altered by (mainly) one developer
who was given way too many concessions and variances to remake our city core into a massof soulless, five-story luxury condo buildings. Canyongate will be another mess when it's
done. Now our R-1, R-2 and R-3 zoned neighborhoods are under threat of further disruption.Changes to long-established zoning that citizens bought into when purchasing homes is
essentially a breach of trust and contract. Neighborhoods lost will never be regained.
Sprawl continues across the valley at an incredible and unsustainable rate and very littleaffordable housing has been built. You are clearly not achieving your stated goals. The path
you are leading us down is taking us nowhere. Above all, I ask that you do not approve theUDC proposal -- I can't think of any greater mistake the Commission could make.
Please listen to your constituents -- VERY few are supportive of the UDC proposal, if you're
paying attention.
Sincerely,Debra De Bode
