I am stunned that the commission has chosen to proceed with its restrictions on STRs when their own Aug 8th
report states that STR restrictions WIII NOT solve the affordable housing crisis and WILL LIKELY negatively affect the
tourism economy. I feel the city is being VERY PUNITIVE to STR owners who have complied with oranges to date and
are using STRs as an easy target for solutions to political pressures that have no basis in fact. Many STR owners in
other parts of the country are bringing suit against restrictions. It may come to that. I urge the council to reconsider
and work WITH STR owners to address council's concerns. Leslie Hilliard Bozeman MT
