Mayor Andres, City Commission , and appropriate staff,
As a 45 year resident of Bozeman who raised my children in the Cooper Park area of town, I appreciate the
character and fabric of the residential neighborhoods that make up the charming environment that long time
Bozeman residents cherish. The ambiance of the tree lined streets and endearing architecture of the single family
neighborhoods
are major components that make Bozeman such a desirable city in which to live. Why alter that? Why impose
contrived ordinances and arbitrary zoning on areas of town that that are hallmarks of our community?
Bozeman offers a variety of mixed use neighborhoods . I don’t believe there is a subdivision that has been approved
and developed in the last ten years that has not been a mix of single and multi family dwelling units, with all price
ranges .There is no need to re-zone our heritage neighborhoods to accommodate something that already exists.
Please abandon this plan for re-zoning. You are in office to protect and enhance our community, not destroy it.
Respectfully ,
Michael Basile
