Description
City Commission of Bozeman, I am extremely disappointed to learn about the new ordinance which serves as nothing more than a
hostile reminder that the city of Bozeman is not interested in acting to solve the housing crisis many of us are experiencing. As I'm sure
you're aware, this ordinance o ers no short or long-term solution. It o ers no solution to anyone experiencing homelessness, no
assistance in finding housing, and imposes a punishment on individuals in our community simply for experiencing an extreme hardship.
The lack of compassion is truly sickening. Even at its core the ordinance is a failure. By not providing alternatives to living on the street,
this accomplishes nothing but a senseless shu ling of trailers and tents around town, imposing hardship without benefit. Ultimately, I
expect and demand stronger leadership from this commission. Furthermore, it is reprehensible to propose ordinances such as this,
sitting on your hands pretending urban camping is the issue, not a housing crisis brought about by incompetent leadership and
irresponsible growth. Given an opportunity to ameliorate the faults of past leadership, it is extremely disheartening to see you following
in their footsteps. If only someone could have seen it coming. "I just spent sixty days in the jailhouse For the crime of having no dough
