I as a concerned citizen am asking bozeman to do something about the urban
camper. Yes being unhoused is not a crime and a huge problem in bozeman. Please
note that not all of the campers and tents are homless people some come transients
from out of state coming just to camp permentatly and criminals hiding. It's VERY
unsanitary and a HUGE safty concern for everyone including children and locals
theres been more crime and litter including sewage, stolen parts and needles in someplaces and carts full of trash in our streets which is very unsanitary and not safe.
There are also campers blocking parking lots so you cant see if a car is coming
which can cause a car accident. Theres some campers with agressive dogs that
make it unsafe to walk since you dont know if the dog will attack or not. Belgradeasked them to leave missoula and helena stepped up and are finally telling them to
leave. Why isn't Bozeman doing anything about it? Its time to take action and put
those ordiance in place IMMEDIATELY. There needs to be rules as this is not safe or
sanatary in any way or shape and as stated before not all of them are from montanaand homeless some of them are from out of state which is find except when they
come to camp permentaly or litter. Instead of spending money on electric bird
scooters Bozeman needs to STEP UP its game help the unhoused and put a STOP
to the urban camping. It is unsanitary and very unsafe.Taylor.r
