My comments on tonights ordinance for consideration now that I have had a chance to read it.
I think the ordinance should be approved as is to quickly abate some of the current issues we
are seeing. I also think the following should be considered for amendment.
Increase distance from business entrances.Add a distance from school, daycare property, parks and residences.
Distance should be more like 1000ft otherwise there will be location loop holes people will
find that will continue to negatively impact businesses and residences.
Is the city really going to be able to track time stayed at each location? I think a permittingprocess would make more sense than a blanket approval on camping with movement every 5
days. Permitting would allow the city to decide where and when the camping can happen andadjust as needed. This would also put it on the people partaking to make sure they are
approved and provide this information instead of the city trying to get it. If someone is unableto handle the permitting process they likely need more help anyway and that would get
flagged immediately. The city could also provide basic services in specific locations as seenfit to reduce waste instead of guessing where people will show up.
Thank you for you consideration and look forward to seeing the current ordinance enacted
tonight.

We had another assault in front of our office yesterday and had to call 911. We are alsocontinuing to see vandalism and theft from our property. Is the city planning on
addressing the situation or are the local businesses/residents going to continue to
shoulder the problem? We have had to continue to spend time and money to deal with problems and secure our
property. We cannot use our property as we intended. We have to keep our doors lockedduring business hours. Anything we try to do outdoors here puts our employees in harm's
way and we are worried about them getting to and from their vehicles. If it is not bolteddown or locked up apparently it is fair game for the unwelcome residents to use or take.
I hope you are losing sleep over this because you will be to blame when something worse
happens here due to your inaction.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

caming situation is going to be handled and if laws will be adjusted to empower thepolice force to act to help bozeman residents. People continue to show up to live on the
streets and it is only a matter of time until this starts to affect more residentialneighborhoods.
I understand there is a clean up effort in the works to try and provide some temporary
relief in what we deal with daily and that is very much appreciated! This will help butwe also need a long term solution to help people in need without relying on existing
residents and businesses to be the front line. The clean up efforts are needed to get thestreets back into working order but it will also only chase people around and they will
likely return or more people will show up if we don't find viable locations for people topark or live.
We would really like to see some law adjustments or longer term solutions put in place
to help keep our city to the standards that we all love.
Thank You!
