I urge the commission to vote NO on ord. 2147. Homelessness is not a choice, but a symptom. Many homeless
people are working individuals/families or students simply unable to afford housing in our community. Ord 2147,
even with softened language and penalties, will only further penalize our most vulnerable citizens and continue to
make it harder for individuals and families to escape poverty. Ord 2147 is NOT the help our community needs.
