I’m writing to urge you to vote no on ordinance 2147. Homelessness is an issue, but it is a symptom of larger broken
systems. Criminalizing homelessness is an outdated unscientific band-aid solution to a much larger problem.
Bozeman is the wealthiest city in Montana. We can keep pushing homeless people out to Missoula and poorer cities
and continue our reputation as the “closest city to Montana” or we can choose to be part of Montana and find
cooperative solutions to our problems.
