Regarding the proposed ordinance on urban camping, I agree with the comments in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle
(9/18/23) attributed to HRDC's Brian Guyer. Organizations that work with homelessness understand it best. Guyer's
suggestion to only require moving if campers are in violation of community standards for cleanliness or other
specific regulations seems humane and sensible. What would forced moving accomplish? And, a map to show legal
camping areas would be a useful tool. Help, don't hurt.
