I am in strong opposition to this ordinance. It does nothing to address the housing crisis we are in the midst of – it
simply displaces those in the community who are struggling the most to find safe and sanitary housing. A petition
for a Housing Authority was submitted weeks ago, which would be a much better use of existing funds & efforts.
The City needs to step up and lead the way on real housing solutions, not make it legal to disturb those most
affected by the ongoing and worsening crisis.
