I strongly oppose Ordnance 2147. Bozeman had a huge problem with homeless people but criminalization of their
condition is not the right answer. This ordinance does not get to the root of the problem, rather it simply makes it
harder for the homeless to get out the situation that they’re in. As a resident of Bozeman for more than 5 years, I’ve
seen the situation worsen but there are other equitable alternatives that the city commission can implement that
will fix the root of the problem.
