Good afternoon, Commissioners.
According to the published agenda for the 9/19/23 Commission meeting you will be asked to provisionally adopt
Ordinance 2147 on Tuesday evening. While I do not believe Ordinance 2147 goes far enough to address the
growing issue of people living on the streets of Bozeman, I believe it is an important first step in addressing an issue
that affects Bozeman tax payers. I encourage you to adopt Ordinance 2147 with the understanding that much more
needs to be done to find a lasting solution. The reputation of Bozeman, under your watch, has been blemished by
inaction. Now is the time to step up and protect your community and the reputation of your community by taking
the necessary action to keep our home clean, safe, and law abiding.
