Yes we need more density in Bozeman but this is drastic and will forever change the face of our town. Before this zoning could ever work the city would need to have strong rules regarding affordable housing. I realize that Gianforte has hamstrung Montana in that regard but he won'tbe around forever. Bozeman needs requirements that force developers to include affordable housing in each new project. Currently, all I see are luxury condos, which will be sold to folksfrom out of town who will then rent them as short term rentals, further limiting the housing options for working class residents. At the very least fix this zoning so that it provides growth that won't destroy the very reason we all live here. The quality of life in Bozeman comes not only from the wonderful locationand amazing natural resources but also from having permanent residents who are engaged and involved with the community. Under the name of infill and density, don't carve a hole in thistown. I'm already surrounded by empty luxury condos and airbnb's. My neighbors have threatened to move. My very own street is under threat, let alone the city. This proposal onlybenefits the developers and the wealthy. R1 should be four residences and R4 should be eight. Make reasonable steps toward growth. Thank you for your time, Michelle Osman -- Michelle Osman 419 North 5th Ave Bozeman Mt. 59715(406) 579 3992 www.michelleosman.com
