Dear Bozeman City Commissioners,
We have owned a home in Bozeman for 48 years, so are aware of the many changes our
community has gone through. Removing the R-1 and R-2 zoning will destroy property values, neighborhoods, and any sense of community. There is no conceivable way that a fourplex or
eightplex will help the property values of existing single-family homes. Our residential streetsare not designed for the parking and traffic that increased housing density will bring.
We are aware that Bozeman has an affordable housing problem, but there is no way to know ifeliminating residential zoning will have a positive effect on housing affordability. We are also
aware that SWMBIA contractors are unwilling to work with the City and that the statelegislature has their backs. To make Bozeman homeowners responsible for alleviating the
problem is wrong and unconscionable.
Please do not support this agenda.
