Hello,
I live near the corner of South Grand and West Grant Ave, and I would like to formally comment on the house
pollution caused by folks with small (non-standard) motorcycles who ride around for hours during the day
seemingly just for fun. However, the noise emitted is so great that inside my home office with all windows and
doors closed and a fan running by the window to reduce noise, I cannot take a business call and I cannot feel at
peace. This problem is so frequent that I know feel that I need to log formal complaints to the city of Bozeman. I
am a taxpaying resident and a property owner, and I believe that there need to be changes made to the city’s
noise ordinance and that it needs to be more readily enforced. Even if the noise is occurring during the middle of
the day. This noise is not coming from commuting traffic, it is someone recreating and disturbing others' peace.
Noise pollution has been found to have many negative impacts on human health, mental health and quality of life
and I would be happy to supply peer-reviewed published research articles stating that this is the case. I hope that
this comment is taken into consideration.
