Dear Bozeman Mayor and City Commissioners:
Please reject the current proposal / application #22047 (hereafter "#22047")for Lot 2 of the SundanceSprings Neighborhood services.
We have already written a substantial letter detailing why the proposal, as put forth, should be rejected. Here we will simple re-iterate key points:
The Bozeman Community development Division, per our understanding, broke the law by
approving #22047 without assuring compliance with the Final Approved Master Plan and
Development Guidelinesapproving #22047 even though it does not comply with the Planned Unit Development
(PUD)We live in Sundance Springs and #22047 jeopardizes the safety (e.g., via
increased traffic, overflow parking into our neighborhood, possible drunks
wandering the streets and trails, emergency vehicle movement hindrance due to
overflow parking and traffic) and peace of our wonderful neighborhood
#22047 provides inadequate parking in part because the businesses proposed for the location are
designed to be destination dining and drinking locales, not neighborhood services businesses likecharging stations or small (think Joe's Parkway) grocery storesWe want the residential character of our neighborhood retained. Yes to small store or coffee house
that can eliminate the need to drive into downtown, NO to a raucous, party dinner and drinksestablishment(s)
The Sundance Springs Guidelines, Covenants, and the PUD as or by the Bozeman
City Commission in 1996 (we've lived in Sundance Springs since April 2002) does
NOT allow outdoor activities as proposed for Lot 2.
Please reject application #22047!
Thank you,
