New Grant Opportunity to Improve Climate Resilience of DrinkingWater Infrastructure: EPA’s Drinking Water System Infrastructure
Resilience and Sustainability grant program will support drinking water
systems in underserved, small and disadvantaged communities that areworking to prepare for and reduce vulnerability to impacts from climatechange ranging from extreme flooding to extreme drought. Funding throughthis grant program can be used for the planning, design, construction,implementation, operation, or maintenance of a program or project thatincreases resilience of public water systems to natural hazards.

Community Change Grants Program: EPA’s new Environmental andClimate Justice Community Change Grants program (Community ChangeGrants) will invest approximately $2 billion in Inflation Reduction Act funds inenvironmental and climate justice activities to benefit disadvantagedcommunities through projects that reduce pollution, increase communityclimate resilience, and build community capacity to respond to environmentaland climate justice challenges. These place-based investments will be
focused on community-driven initiatives to be responsive to community and

Grant Opportunity for Technical Assistance providers: The EPA is
offering this funding opportunity of up to $10 million to help communities and
other environmental justice stakeholders in the Rocky Mountains and GreatPlains states access federal assistance and resources to addressenvironmental and energy justice concerns. This training will provideassistance to build capacity for communities and environmental justicestakeholders navigating federal grant application systems, writing stronggrant proposals, and effectively managing grant funding. In addition, it willprovide guidance on community engagement, meeting facilitation, andtranslation and interpretation services for limited English-speakingparticipants, thus removing barriers and improving accessibility forcommunities with environmental justice concerns.
