Hi my name is Maya Newell. I am 21 years old and live alone with my dog. I currently live at Sundance Baxter
Meadows. I have reached out to the county before about the homeless population growing. They surround every
where in the complex. In the mornings and at night I take my dog for a walk around. As it is just me it’s terrifying to
walk around the complex and frustrating that I cannot walk anywhere else. There is trash everywhere and needles.
Not safe for anyone. This is getting to be a problem. I am terrified for my life every single day I walk outside my
front door, but it seems like no one cares. This only affects the people who live over here, no one else so I can see
why they won’t do a thing about it. I am so frustrated that I constantly have to repeat myself to the city of Bozeman.
I am from a big city and they do a lot better with the homeless than they do here. I am tired of this and it needs to
take action immediately.
