Maybe you do have the power but that should be put to a vote. This is pretty radical and is taking everyone I know bysurprise. I really do not want to have the rest of Bozeman look like the North Side, with luxury apartments that replace homes. I live on South 3rd and the newest addition to ourstreet is 2 units that sold for $1.5 million each. No one appears to actually live in either. More Big Sky or YC get to town apartments are not needed. Scraping the old homes formulti units will leave us like Ballard in Seattle. It was once a thriving neighborhood but now no one knows anyone. (NYT article). The old neighborhoods are as important to the natureof our town as the mountains are. I know we need more affordable housing and applaud the discussion over Airb&bs, but replacing the charm and friendliness of our neighborhoods is asacrifice that is absurd. We will become Anywhere, USA. It's bad enough that our property taxes are going insane, now you want to destroy what we have paid for for many years. Youwant to avoid sprawl but can't because developers and sellers get what they can. So we will grow to a town of 100,000 or much more. Is that what you are in a hurry for? Let us vote onthis. Save Bozeman. Thank you, Mary Lou Osman
