Good morning,
We hope you have a safe and happy Labor Day!
Work on the Interstate 90 (I 90) Median Cable Rail project has paused for the holiday
weekend and will resume on Wednesday, September 6.
Wednesday, September 6, through Saturday, September 9, Coral Construction crews
will continue installing and tensioning cable at the west end of the project area, between Three Forks and Manhattan. Work will take place between 6 a.m. and 6
p.m. The left lanes closest to the median on both sides of I 90 will be closed where work is
underway. Please slow down, follow traffic control, and watch for workers and equipment
throughout the project area. Drivers should anticipate single-lane traffic, reduced
speeds, and minor travel delays.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Email me directly
at sloane@bigskypublicrelations.com or call the project hotline at 406-207-4484,
Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about the Median High-
Tension Cable Rail project, visit https://www.mdt.mt.gov/pubinvolve/mtmcr/. Make a Sober Ride Part of Your Labor Day Plans.
For many Montanans, Memorial Day weekend kicks off the start of summer travel,
culminating with Labor Day weekend. Unfortunately, these summer months can also
be some of the deadliest on Montana’s roads due to increased motor vehicle crashes. As part of a nationwide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” mobilization running
from August 16, 2023, through September 4, 2023, law enforcementagencies and the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) will be increasing patrols to
watch for and stop impaired drivers on Montana’s roadways. Before you make
plans to travel for Labor Day weekend, plan for safe, sober transportation and
insist your friends and family do the same. Remember to always buckle upbefore you go, as using your seat belt is your best defense against serious
injury or death in the event you’re in a crash. This is a Vision Zero Message from
the Montana Department of Transportation. Learn more about the goal of Vision
Zero and impaired driving prevention here:https://www.mdt.mt.gov/visionzero/onereason/default.aspx#sober.
Best wishes,
