THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALLOW TIME FOR CLARIFICATION. 6.REQUESTS BY THE CONTRACTOR OR OWNER SHALL BE APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE ENGINEER PRIOR TO IMPLEMENTATION. 7.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT ALL SURVEY MONUMENTS. MONUMENTS DISTURBED OR DESTROYED SHALL BE REPLACED BY THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE. 8.CONTRACTOR TO FIELD VERIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS BY DETAILED INSPECTION PRIOR TO SUBMITTING BID AND STARTING CONSTRUCTION. 9.CONTRACTOR SHALL HIRE A QUALIFIED THIRD PARTY TESTING FIRM TO PERFORM ALL NECESSARY QUALITY CONTROL TESTING AT THEIR EXPENSE. ALL QUALITY CONTROL TESTING RESULTS SHALL BE PROVIDED TO ENGINEER AND OWNER BEFORE ACCEPTANCE OF THE WORK. 10.THE OWNER AND ENGINEER RESERVE THE RIGHT TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL TESTING UPON THEIR OWN DISCRETION. IF NEEDED, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COOPERATE AND ASSIST THE OWNER AND/OR ENGINEER IN COLLECTION OF ADDITIONAL TESTING SAMPLES. AT A MINIMUM THIS MAY INCLUDE EXCAVATION OF TEST PITS FOR COMPACTION TEST VERIFICATIONS FOR EACH LIFT OF TRENCH BACKFILL, EMBANKMENT MATERIAL OR AGGREGATE BASE MATERIAL. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF 24 HOURS NOTICE TO THE OWNER AND ENGINEER, PRIOR TO COVERING WORK, TO ALLOW TIME FOR QUALITY VERIFICATION. 11.ALL AREAS COVERED BY TOPSOIL DURING FINAL GRADING SHALL BE SEEDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 02910 OF MPWSS BEFORE FINAL ACCEPTANCE. 12.CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE ALL DEBRIS AND HAVE SOIL EROSION CONTROL MEASURE IN PLACE BEFORE CONSTRUCTION STARTS. 13.ALL UNSUITABLE AND EXCESS EXCAVATED MATERIAL SHALL BE REMOVED AND PROPERLY DISPOSED OFFSITE AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE. 14.CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN FIELD AS-BUILTS DRAWINGS AND SHALL MEASURE AND SHOW LOCATIONS OF ALL MANHOLES, INLETS, BURIED WATER MAIN FITTINGS, VALVES, BURIED COMPONENTS, ETC. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FILE A NOTICE OF TERMINATION (NOT) AFTER THE SITE HAS BEEN RESTORED AND STABILIZED WITH THE PROPER LANDSCAPING AND OTHER VEGETATION, AND CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE. PREPARING THE SWPPP, FILING A NOI AND NOT, IMPLEMENTING EROSION CONTROL MEASURES AND ALL ASSOCIATED PERMIT FEES ARE CONSIDERED INCIDENTAL TO THE TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL BID ITEM. 1.CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MINIMIZING TRACKING OF SOIL AND DEBRIS ONTO ADJACENT PROPERTIES AND ROADWAYS. TRACKING MUST BE REMOVED BY THE END OF EACH DAY. 2.INSPECT ALL EROSION CONTROL ELEMENTS WEEKLY OR AFTER ALL STORM EVENTS OF 1 2" OF RAIN OR GREATER AND DOCUMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF NOTICE OF INTENT. 3.ALL WASTE AND UNUSED BUILDING MATERIALS SHALL BE PROPERLY DISPOSED OF AND NOT ALLOWED TO BE CARRIED OFF-SITE BY RUN-OFF OR WIND. 4.ALL OFF SITE SEDIMENT DEPOSITS OCCURRING AS A RESULT OF CONSTRUCTION WORK OR A STORM EVENT SHALL BE CLEANED UP BY THE END OF EACH DAY. 5.UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT, ALL DISTURBED AREAS NOT PERMANENTLY LANDSCAPED SHALL BE SEEDED AS SPECIFIED BY THE LANDSCAPE PLANS. 6.FABRIC INSIDE THE INLET AND CATCH BASIN GRATING SHALL BE REMOVED AS SOON AS FREEZING WEATHER OCCURS SO DRAINAGE IS NOT IMPAIRED THROUGHOUT THE WINTER MONTHS. ALL EROSION CONTROL PRACTICES REMOVED OR DAMAGED DUE TO WINTER WEATHER SHALL BE REPLACED IN THE SPRING IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE THAW. 7.EROSION CONTROL DEVICES DESTROYED AS A RESULT OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES SHALL BE REPAIRED BY THE END OF THE WORK DAY. 8.TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE REMOVED AT THE COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION AFTER STABILIZATION AND PERMANENT LANDSCAPING HAS BEEN INSTALLED. CONTRACTOR SHALL IMPLEMENT A LOGICAL CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE THAT ENSURES DOWNSTREAM STORM WATER INFRASTRUCTURE IS IN PLACE TO FACILITATE PROPER DRAINAGE DURING CONSTRUCTION. 2. THERE ARE SEVERAL LOCATIONS WHERE INSTALLATION OF NEW STORM DRAIN INLETS WILL REQUIRE EXCAVATION ADJACENT TO EXISTING POWER POLES. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATING WITH THE POWER COMPANY, BRACING, AND PROTECTING THESE POLES DURING CONSTRUCTION. 3. ALL MANHOLE ACCESS COVERS SHALL BE ORIENTED TO AVOID PLACEMENT WITHIN THE WHEEL PATH OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC. 4. GRATE ELEVATIONS NOTED ON THE PLANS FOR STORM WATER INLETS ARE BASED ON THE ELEVATION OF THE GRATE AT THE FLOWLINE OF THE CURB AND GUTTER. 5. STATION AND OFFSET CALLED OUT ON THE STORM DRAIN PLAN AND PROFILES REFER TO THE CENTER OF THE CONCRETE STRUCTURE. 6. PROVIDE EJIW 7030 M5 GRATE OR APPROVED EQUAL AT VERTICAL SAG LOCATIONS. 7. ALL STORM DRAIN SHALL BE HP STORM DUAL WALL PP PIPE, AASHTO M330 AND ASTM F2881, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON THE STORM DRAIN PLANS. STORM DRAIN NOTES: 1.
