I am in support of STRs. Rather than a radical move such as banning them, consider what many cities have done,
and simply limit the number of permits issued. Allow the present ones to continue, until the owners decide to sell or
cease being an STR, and have a waitlist for people applying. This has been a successful approach in many cities and
results in a manageable number, with staff able to track any that do not comply. Do not punish the STRs that are
licensed and follow rules.
